THE ROCHER DE BOULE MINE TO BE REOPENED Big Campaign of Development to Be Commenced During this Summer The Rocher de Boule mine is to be re-opened during the pre- sent summer and the’ big cam- paign of development which has been under advisement for some time commenced. During’ the past week Engineer Williams, a mining expert and assistant gen- eral manager the Pittsmont Miné & Smelting ©o., Butte, and Phil Gillis and Dr. two of the largest stock holders in the company, have been at the mine for Seivers, making preparations for work to commence. It is understood that a com- pressor plant will be put in this fall to be run by gasoline power and that the 1400 ft. crosseut tunnel, which was started a year ago and driven 200 feet, will be continued the entire distance. Editor Shot Attorney Over Small Question Quincey, Gal., August -20 KF, G, Hall, editor and proprietor of the Plumas “National Bulletin,” one of the oldest papers in Northern California, shot and killed J. A. Boyle, attorney, on Saturday night in a revolver duel. Boyle was shot through the heart and Hall was wounded in the leg. Hall’s wound is thought not to be serious.
