Harris, a The body of Louise half breed woman, was found in the Skeena near Glen Vowell crossing on Satufday evening. The woman's” husband, Fritz Harris, also a half breed, notified the police on Saturday that his wife had left their home some time during the night and had not returned. Search having re- sulted in the discovery of the body, Government Agent Hoskins, acting as coroner, held an inquest at Hazelton, the jury returning an open verdiet of death by drowning. It is supposedly a case of suicide. Mr. Spain, who was engaged for about three years in the provin- cial land registry office here, left over a year ago with his family for England. He has just recent- ly returned to Canada and it is his intention to again take up his residence in this city next spring. His family is at present in Van- couver, Mr. Spain reports that the financial depression is quite bvi- dent in the east as well as the west. From what he had been able to learn after a few hours here, he did not think that condi- tions are as bad in Prince Rupert as they are in many other towns and cities in the west. Through- out the prairie provinces reports indicate that the crops are away above the average both in quality and quantity and the general feeling is that financial condi- tions will be soon improved as a result. Mr. Spain will return to Van- couver on Friday morning. IN PRISON ONCE MORE Sylvia Pankhurst Did Not Escape This Time. (Special to The Daily News. London, Oct. 15.—Sylvia Pank- hurst, who escaped from the po- lice Tuesday night, was arrested last night as she was about to enter Powell town hall to address another meeting.
