IN METHODIST CHURCH

In recognition of the third an-
niversary of the Methodist
Church, the ladies aid provided a
most delightful and varied musi-
cal program last night.

The large audience showed its
appreciation of the various mu-
sical numbers and recitations by
hearty applause and repeated de-
mands for more. The program
opened with Mendelssohn's
“March of the Priests,” as an or-
gan solo, by Mrs. Armstrong. In
this, as in Giebel’s “Romance,” at
the opening of the second part of
the program, Mrs. Armstrong
proved herself a most accom-
plished performer on the pipe
organ.

Miss Barnsley, Mrs. Scott and
Mrs. Hemmel, in their vocal nwm-
bers, were deservedly encored.

 

Mr. Ling and Mr. Davey gave
pleasing renderings of their
solos.

Messrs. Edmunds and Duffy, in
a mandolin duet, and Mr. Heer-

 

schel, in a flute solo, performed
effectively.
