The league football game las night between the Sons of Englan: and the G. T. P. resulted in a 3-1! victory for the former team. Both teams were short of the full com- plement of players, playing one man short. However, it was a fast and interesting game. In the first half the Sons scored through D. Robinson and Perey Tinker, during a temporary sia: ing off of the defence. In the second half Kilgour seored for the railwaymen and D. Robinson added one more tally for the Sons. The G. T, P. kept up a strong at- tack but a little more shooting at goal might have had good results. For the winners D. Robinson, Tinker and Davies probably play- ed the best game, the latter put- some rattling good cen- ting in ters. For the G. T. P. Albert Crages played a good game at half, Smith and Kilgour worked hard forward and Johnnie Curri effectively at back. Waldorf was in good form at goal and could not have saved the goals register- ed against his side. Russell officiated as referee.
