He told of starting the year with something iver $1,600 to the good and with this they had improved the building in many ways. They also thanked the city for its co-oper- ition in improving the roadway to the building. He recommended that another year they provide substantial booths outside. This year the gale blew the flimsy booths down and those who ha irchased concessions had to go inside the building. Suggestions. In moving a hearty vote of thanks to the directors for their work during the year, George Munro said that the merchants eould not attend meetings on Saturday night. He with others had come to the hall on Friday with the purpose of attending a meeting which was supposed to have been held, but which no one altended. He also spoke of the desirability of bringing off the children’s sports. Many of them, he knew, had worked very hard, harder than directors ought to work. Perhaps if they had the exhibition a little earlier they might escape the gales which usually came about that time.
