Investigation shows that two slugs are partly hidden in the ground a few inches away. They die and the dahlia has another chance for life. If I had not seen the slugs, the dahlia might have been ruined by tomorrow. ''Then I notice that a yellow day lily is blooming well and that one or two of the first blooms are beginning to get overblown. This is my first experience with day lilies. I like them very much. Thev are showy and easy to grow.
